Lip Enhancements
A lip enhancement is a cosmetic treatment that creates fuller and defined lips. Lip fillers contain Hyaluronic Acid (HA) which enhances the shape structure and volume of the lips and add hydration.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found in the skin tissues and hyaluronic acid fillers are made from substances similar within the body. The hyaluronic acid filler is administered via a needle and is injected in a controlled way to add volume gradually to create the desired look. This may need to be done over more than one visit, where a top up is required.
There are many hyaluronic acid fillers available. Among them are; Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Luminera and Regenovue.
Preparing for Lip Enhancements
- Prior to injection filler, a topical numbing cream is applied to the lips. This is used to make the injectable treatment more comfortable for the client.
- The cream is applied for 10-15 minutes beforehand and once the client’s lips are completely numb, the injections can begin.
- The longevity of lip filler can last between 6-9 months.
- For a natural look I would recommend Luminera lips or Teosyal. For a fuller lip, I would recommend Luminera Deep, Juvederm or Revolax.
- An aftercare package will be provided following your treatment.
